Gabi Bolton believes patterns have a powerful impact on the mind. Even the smallest fragments are enough to conjure images of a childhood memory. As a surface pattern designer with a passion for printed textiles, she has recently launched her first Homewares collection for Original little bird. The collection includes Aprons, Lovely Laundry bags, Oven cloths and much more. The print '1st Bird' is also available by the metre in 4 beautiful colourways. Inspiration comes from all kinds of journeys with eyes wide open. Trees are a particularly inspirational at this time with their strong connection to the seasons. Gabi is working on ways of creating more one off pieces based on their richly textured and patterned qualities, whilst continuing to develop new ideas for Original Little Bird, including Tiles, Wallpaper and Fashion accessories. She believes that the potential for intelligent pattern in our daily lives has yet to be fully exploited. Collaboration is welcome on projects for Interiors, Exteriors and materials for keeping warm.
