About

   
AMPLIFIER is a new product design studio in London, founded by Goldsmiths College graduate Florian Kremb. It offers idea, concept and product development of Product & Furniture, design research and design consultancy services. The studio's conceptual design approach is fundamentally based upon the infra-ordinary and the everyday, trying to discover significant qualities within the so-called "banal" as a creative starting point, and amplifying those little details.

AMPLIFIER is launching new objects from its self-produced collection, design ideas and prototypes ready to be manufactured.

2009: Installation for Mark Fast at London Fashion Week
2008: SUM OF ITS PARTS, Hackney Council Hoarding Design Commission
2008: AMPLIFIER exhibition and site-specific installation at northandsouth ideas gallery, London
2004: "THE IDEA OF A CHAIR”, commission for the design of a chair, Denmark, organized by Krabbesholm College.
2004: Comme des Garcons, DOVER STREET MARKET, London
Installation of CHAMPAGNE CORK COAT HOOK wall and BROOMS WITH A VIEW as mirrors at new London Mayfair flagship store.
2000: “UNITED ARTS FOR EUROPE”, Belgium, winner of commission (outdoor installation) for UK (March).
1998: BLUEPRINT/Vitra design competition, London, one of 5 winners (June).

Awards

Florian previously worked for Material ConneXion in New York and Studio Sowden in Milan, won the EPSON design trend research competition and was selected for the Netherlands' Young Designers & Industry project.
